Ryan Mackenzie comes out swinging a sad wet noodle at Bob Brooks
That didn’t take long.
Ryan Mackenzie wasted no time slagging off Bob Brooks with a statement last night following Brooks’ capture of the Democratic primary for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, which covers Hellertown and Lower Saucon.
“Tonight, after spending millions of dollars in dark money on his behalf, the Democratic establishment got their hand-picked candidate: con man and fraudster Bob Brooks. These groups steamrolled local Democrats and hijacked the democratic process in order to nominate a corrupt political insider, a wealthy lobbyist with a vast stock portfolio, and someone who has a record of stealing from his own family,” said Mackenzie for Congress spokesman Arnaud Armstrong.
If that’s all Mackenzie has, he might as well starting packing his PODS in DC for the trip home to the Lehigh Valley this January.

There has been no bigger complainer on earth than I about the crappy behavior of a section of the Democratic establishment in elevating Brooks and stomping all over the primary process. It sucked.
But glad to hear that Mackenzie’s suddenly concerned about “the democratic process.”
This Trump-bootlicker has done more locally to strengthen authoritarianism in Washington than any other person in our region. He is literally the doughy face of Trumpian complicity.
Mackenzie was even recently named one of the most corrupt politicians in America by the End Citizens United pro-democracy advocacy group.
You really want to argue about democracy, Ryan? As the New York Times have noted, your beloved president has taken America into banana republic territory:

Sorry, but today’s utterly corrupt, cult-like Republican adherents to Trumpism don’t get to lecture us about our own law-abiding party leaders.
There’s lawful if icky intra-party meddling—and there’s breaking an oath to the Constitution.
There’s trade union cronyism—and there’s supporting the outright centralization of federal power.
There’s running roughshod over grassroots supporters—and there’s utter silence in the face of a White House that starts illegal wars, protects sex traffickers, and uses the Justice Department to self-deal to the president and his cronies.
Mackenzie 100% backs the most corrupt president in American history. It’s really that simple.
But Bob Brooks has an ugly family dispute over money?
Like basically half of American families?
Oooh! The horror!
Put your sad, wet noodle away, Ryan.
