Saucon Source: Birdwatching in Saucon Valley

A little thing I did in this week’s Saucon Source. Pretty proud of the teenage photography help on this one …

Lower Saucon resident Bonnie Parker isn’t a member of any local bird-watching organizations, but she couldn’t be any more serious about the worth of birds in her life.

As Parker undergoes treatment for cancer this year (having just gone through two years of serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as a registered nurse at a local hospital), she has found watching birds in Saucon Valley a “soothing and calming” experience.

“I’m trying not to take anything for granted,” she said.

And yes, it’s super cool that someone named Bonnie Parker (!), who happens (random fact) to bear a striking resemblance to actress Beverly DeAngelo, is this amazingly nice and mighty-hearted local resident.

Oh, and did someone mention Bonnie Parker??? That means’s it’s time to link a great Serge Gainsbourg song, despite it having absolutely nothing to do with this story …
