My thinking about Charlie Kirk

Saucon Source ran a commentary I wrote on this issue. I’ve thought carefully about it, and even wondered, briefly, if I’d made some sort of big political blunder. But the deeper I scoop down into the poisonous muck of issues, and the more I see all the overreactions and the new suppression of free speech, the more I feel perfectly happy with my take on this complex topic.

A member of our community requested two weeks ago in writing to the Saucon Valley School Board a nominal, symbolic “Charlie Kirk Day” marking off the calendar on Oct. 14 in line with the U.S. Congress’s recent vote in favor of a Charlie Kirk National Day of Remembrance. The resolution for this passed in the Senate by unanimous consent and in the House on a widely bipartisan basis. …
