My precious mom … rest in peace

We already miss her terribly. No local connection here, apart from my family. Notably, she spent decades working to care for and comfort thousands of veterans (including the famous/infamous Barry Sadler) who depended on the VA. She would never in a million years think she needed to tell the world about this, so I’m telling you now. She was an absolute hero—and a humble, devout Midwestern registered nurse who believed in education. She loved music, too. As the song goes, she was crazy ‘bout Elvis—and loved Jesus and America, too. That her grandchildren went to/are going to Tufts, Yale, Brown, Michigan State, Kent State, DePaul, Ursuline, et al speaks to her legacy.
